Man child
My "baby" is one step closer to being a high schooler. The only thing that seperates him from hallways of trashcanning (do they still do that?) , proms (of which he just told me today he could careless about....I told him just wait til some girl talks you into it), and inevitably outings with friends taking risks that I would rather not think about just yet.
Time to dye the hair again. I think about 20 or 30 more just sprouted today.....

I had fun in high school, so I hope it's the same for him. Oh, and I didn't go to a single school dance, so maybe he won't get talked into it! lol

At my high school in California the big prank was to put the trash cans on the roof of the admin building, pyramid-style. I don't remember anyone getting stuffed in them, though.
Sometimes there were sheep wandering around campus, but that wasn't a prank- they periodically escaped from the farm across the street. :D

Suzy- I'll be quietly hoping that he does. A mom's gotta have as many picture moments as she can get!
Liz- At our high school, the senior prank used to be to steal a cow (man-made) from one of the local restaurants and place it on the roof of the school. Once, they took apart someone's VW Bug and reassembled it in the foyer of the school.
Oh, and also...sheep? I would have loved it! I love how sheep feel like carpet when they are full and bushy.
Bearette- I agree. :)

There's a picture in one of my yearbooks... maybe I'll dig it out one of these days, if I can remember where they are...

Ah, high school. I don't know if they trashcan anymore. I'm too old.

High school: overarrated. Best days of your life? Pffft, I say. Pffft.
I dunno what trashcanning is, but one year some guys collected a roadkilled wombat and set it up on the roof of a classroom, sitting in a deckchair, drink by its side, with a t-shirt and baseball cap on. High summer, about 40 degrees C in the shade. I was in that classroom when we started to wonder what the stench was... Clever, but ewwwww...

College was the most fun for me. I guess high school is like secondary school in England. Secondary School was no fun at all.
