Are you game?

Now for a little fun (aka: trying to avoid the realities of life).

Remember that adolescent, idiotic but also sometimes very fun game of Truth or Dare?

Let's try a blogger version. Each of you (who are willing and able to) will request either a truth or dare for yourself in the comment section. I will in turn fulfill your request by giving you a question of truth or a dare that you must do. We will go with the honesty policy but you must give a detailed report of the results or your dare.

In turn, you are all allowed to ask me a truth or dare.

Hit me!

Hm, this could be fun, I think I'll try it, if you don't mind. I'll pick a dare. How about you? Truth or Dare?

I'll choose DARE. Since I'm a shy guy, choose a dare that will get me out my shell? Please tread lightly lol. Thanks Rox! Gosh I'm so happy today? Maybe it's because I've been reading the book Don't Sweat the Small Stuff?

Brie- I'll pick truth for mine. Here's one for you: I dare you to write a letter (can be short and sweet if you like) to a family member, close friend, teacher, or other person in your life and let them know what they mean to you and what kind of impression they've made on your life.

Stu- I'll pick dare for mine. Here's yours: If you were to die today, would you be satisfied with your life....why or why not?

Dude man- I'll pick truth for mine. Here's yours: Since you've already done something pretty daring (and scary) recently, I'll try to come up with something interesting yet safe. I dare you to call or write someone that you've lost touch with. Everyone has at least one person that they think of every now and then and wonder what they've been up to all these years. Well, now's your chance!

Liz- The full range of the buffet, huh? Hmmmm, maybe I should dare you to go for some roast beef? ;)

Let's see....I dare you to shelf a book in the wrong location (oooo, scandalous!)

And for your truth....If you were stranded on a deserted island, would you prefer to be alone or with one other person (and if so who would it be)?

Bearette- I'll pick dare for mine. Here's yours: If you ever decide to have a child/ren, would you want to raise them in the city or move out and buy the house with a picket fence (and a dog and cat of course)?

Suzy- I'll pick truth for mine. Here's yours: How did you and Master meet and did you immediately think you'd have the kind of relationship that you do?

Interesting! i'm sorry i forgot to give you a truth or dare. sometimes i'm bad with details ;)

Let's see. i would really prefer to raise them in the city...no trees to trigger my allergies, i love this place, friends will be around, and i could commune with other moms in central park :)

however, i know the city is not necessarily the best place for children (or many people feel that way). the school situation is a nightmare - either an underfunded public school, an expensive private school or a competitive semi-public school where they have to take an IQ test to get in (i'm serious). d went to one of those (i grew up in the suburbs) but they don't give any preference to children of alumni.

so, i'd rather stay in the city, but if it ends up not working out school-wise or the child doesn't like the city, i'd be willing to move.

I will dare you to cook seitan for your family! :D

If it's too hard to find I'll think of another one.

Bearette- I've seen it in recipes, but haven't figured out what it is yet. Can you fill me in before I go wandering aimlessly through the grocery store?

It's a whole wheat protein product, usually stocked with the tofu. If you can't find it, you could use tempeh (soybean product, also with the tofu. Probably a bit more common.)

Rachel- I'll choose dare for mine. Here's yours: When was the first time you "did it" (I had to fit something juvenile in) and I want details. DETAILS!!!

Liz- I could SO see you doing that. Looking over your shoulder the whole time to make sure you don't get fired. ;)

What the? - Welcome and here's your truth: Without knowing you yet, I'm gonna throw this one out there....if you were in vehicle that drove off the road and into a lake, do you think you would try to save yourself first or your loved one sitting next to you? And why?

Rachel- Go for it! I'm sure everyone else wants to hear the dish, too.

Master and I "met" online nearly two and a half years ago through a website. We met in person about eight months later. When we first started talking, I didn't think we'd be anything more than friends, mainly due to all the differences and the distance. In fact, I kinda kept looking for someone else! But he knew, and stayed my friend, even as I was disappointed and rejected by another man, and I finally wondered why I was still looking. :)

So for your truth... Do you ever wish you'd stayed in CA or do you think moving to OH was the right decision? Or do you wish you all had moved somewhere else entirely?

ok, to answer my truth. I was, ahem, 15 years old my "first time". I wasn't sure that I wanted to, but, being young and naive I did it anyway. It was with my 1st serious boyfriend. It was nothing special. We were at his house, his dad was out of town. It hurt and I never wanted to do it again. Of course, I had no big O that time. There is not much to detail, as I said, it was nothing special.

Ok, so I get to dare you now? Hmmm, I'm not so good at this part of the game, lol.

Ok, I dare you to post some of the absolute worst pics of you ever taken, be they new or old!

OK, now we all know Rachel and Suzy a little bit better (thanks for all the good juice). And Liz needs a new dare since she wimped out on the first one. I promise I will get around to posting the results of all of mine as soon as life calms down around here. It's been a little nuts around here...details later.

Liz- I dare you to perform a Random Act of Kindness and it must be a total stranger. Of course, report back to us with the details. :)

Wow. That's a deep one. Are you trying to bump me off? :p

The answer would have to be no. I don't feel like I've done much with my life yet. I've not been in what I consider a real relationship yet, I've only traveled a little. I want more out of life before it's over.

Your dare: Use the word the phrase 'Vikings are Invading' in a normal conversation with out telling the other person why you are saying it :p
